Pricing

All our joinery is made to order, with the design, layout and specification determined by each client.  The more detailed and complicated a project, the longer it will take to make and therefore the more it will cost.  Because we do not offer an off-the-shelf product it is not possible to provide fixed prices; however, we can explain the different variables and how they impact on cost.

Internal material-we offer two different options: melamine-faced MDF and veneer-faced MDF.  Veneer is more expensive that melamine; however, the melamine designs are increasingly realistic.  We elevate our oak effect melamine finish by using solid oak lipping on the edges.  We do not work with melamine faced chipboard (MFC).

External material- this depends on the look you are trying to create.  Most of our joinery is supplied primed, ready for hand painting on site by a decorator.  A timber finish is more expensive than primed.

Hinges -we recommend concealed hinges and we use Blum hinges.  We like these because they are soft close.  Butt hinges take longer to fit and are therefore more expensive.

Drawers and shoe slides- it takes more time to make a drawer box or shoe slide than it does a shelf, or to fit a hanging rail.  We use Blum drawer runners which are expensive because they are great quality – like Blum hinges they are soft close.

Access and working hours - if your property is on the top floor of a mansion block and there is no lift, we have to allow additional time for delivery and unloading.  In certain mansion blocks there are restricted working hours, which means we have to allow longer for fitting.
